Welcome to my Web site!

This site came into existence because I got FED UP with the lack of services for my developmentally disabled child in the State of Texas.  I figured if I was going to advocate for her, there might be a few thousand other parents, grandparents and friends of the disabled out there who could learn from my research and join me in the effort!

The disabled desperately need more timely delivery of services in this State.   When you add your voice to this effort, you are doing a "good" thing, an important thing, just by writing letters or telling others about this site.  You are helping people who cannot help themselves, but are every bit as deserving of humane treatment, adequate housing and services as are the able-bodied and prisoners in Texas.

In advocating for CHANGE in the delivery of social services in Texas to the disabled, you are advocating for a better State, and a more responsive political system, but more importantly, for REAL PEOPLE who need you!

Forty years ago, the promise of television was for expanded enlightenment, information and education for the masses through the communication medium.   Now, twenty minutes of watching any prime time sitcom and you reach the conclusion T.V. has failed miserably to live up to its potential.

Hopefully, the internet will be different.

Here, we CAN have a public forum, an information and education source and a force to be reckoned with -- a tool for  far-reaching, positive potential for change and responsiveness to public demand for a greater good.

As "e-Activists", we CAN communicate with each other, elected politicians, public servants (sic) and the media with more speed and ease than Gutenberg ever imagined.   Won't you join my efforts in using THIS medium for communications, for positive change, for improvement in the lives of people who are ignored, neglected and under-served?

Read on, by clicking any link above, for more information on the how's and why's of citizen action and participation in Texas.
